How much does the service cost?

Home care costs vary depending on each client’s unique care needs, but at New Horizons, we pride ourselves on providing the greatest value at the most competitive pricing. We would be happy to provide you with a free in-home care assessment to give you a better idea of how we can help and how much the services will cost.

What are my payment options for home care services?

We accept the following forms of payment for our home care services:

Is your agency licensed?

We are licensed by the Oregon Health Authority Public Health Division to provide comprehensive in-home care services.

Are your caregivers insured and bonded?

Yes. All our caregivers are licensed, bonded, and employed by our agency. They also receive industry-leading benefits, support and education.

Will I be able to reach a caregiver after hours? If so, how can I contact someone after hours?

How quickly can I arrange for service?

We can begin care within a few hours for urgent cases when needed, and as soon as within 24 hours for routine at-home care.

Are your services available in nursing homes or assisted living facilities?

Yes. We can provide care services wherever you call home. We’re happy to work with you to provide additional support to whatever care you may already receive.

What if my caregiver is sick and cannot make it to my house?

In the event your caregiver is ill or otherwise not able to make it to your house, we will arrange for another one of our incredible caregivers to cover while your caregiver is out so that you’ll always be cared for. Caregivers are fully informed about your needs, routines, and preferences. They go through the same rigorous screening and high-quality training that all of our caregivers receive, so you know you’ll be in good hands.

How are your caregivers screened?

The safety and security of our clients is of the utmost importance to us, which is why our caregivers must pass a thorough background check, drug test, DMV reference check, competency testing, and in-person interview before being hired. They also receive extensive training to keep up with the ever-changing health and care landscape.

What kind of training do your caregivers receive?

We are proud of the extensive and in-depth condition-specific training our caregivers receive from IPCed, a nationally renowned caregiver training organization. Our caregivers are trained to specialize in hospice care, Alzheimer’s and dementia, mental health, developmental disabilities, and common conditions such as diabetes, COPD, CHF, and cancer. Regular continuing education helps our staff stay up-to-date on emerging care issues and new care techniques.
